Our Lil' Beauty & The Beach

A few weeks ago, we decided to take advantage of the Good Friday holiday and Easter weekend and head South....South Florida, that is. Philip's grandparents live in a quaint little community just north of West Palm Beach, and Kinsley & I flew down there on Thursday morning to spend the Easter weekend with Philip (who drove down late Thursday), his parents, and his grandparents. It was a VERY relaxing weekend...and Kinsley had a blast! She proved that she could easily become accustom to the ocean air, cool breezes, beach, and laid-back lifestyle of the FL coast. And I have to admit - it was a little hard to come back to land-locked Atlanta! Here are some photos (lots of them) of our fabulous trip...minus the little bout of food poisoning that Philip and I experienced on Saturday night through Sunday...blahhhh...but other than that (as awful as it was), everything else was wonderful, and our lil' munchkin had a fabulous time!

At the Atlanta airport, ready for Kinsley's first ride on an airplane!
She did amazing!

Checkin' out the planes...

We arrived safely in West Palm Beach, and Mary and MomMom were there to pick us up!

She absolutely loved watching her shows & eating her afternoon snacks on the patio in the shade and ocean breeze. Ahhhhh.

Dining - and lots of walking - waterside Friday!

On Saturday afternoon, Philip and I had a "mini-vacation" within our mini-vacation...just the two of us...while Kinsley hung out with her grand- and great grand- parents.

Easter morning!

Looking for the Easter bunny.

Kinsley's first Easter Egg hunt!
Okay, so it was a really, really easy Easter egg hunt...

Ohh wow...that's her new saying...everything is ohh wow.

Following the "trail" of eggs.

Why we will always love Northside...

Today, Northside hospital held their annual reunion for the NICU preemies that they have cared for over the past years. It was so nice to see so many happy, healthy kids running around, after knowing how most of them started off their first few days / weeks / months...in the precious care of amazing NICU doctors and nurses. What a celebration of life!

Strolling with daddy.

That's our girl - walkin'!!!

Kinsley got to reunite with Sylvia, one of her "angel" nurses from those earliest, toughest days in NICU. I think I hugged Sylvia for almost 30 seconds straight...and there were definitely tears, from me, of course...

My happy girl on the way home!

Later in the afternoon...

Kinsley and Eloise hitching a ride together in the red wagon at the neighborhood get-together.

Who'd know that this big girl was a preemie? We are tremendously blessed to be where we are with Miss Kinsley a little over a year later...tremendously blessed...
