Weekend Getaway!

Philip finally joined the 30-something club with me and turned the big 3-0 on Sunday! To celebrate, we took a little getaway trip up to Hiawassee to stay in Aunt Eileen's mountain house. It was only for a night, but it was much-needed and a time for us to just get away from the house and do nothing but R-E-L-A-X. As we breezed through the 32-week mark on Thursday (and are now well on our way to 33 weeks this week) we realized that this was possibly the last night for a while that we could just take off, just the 2 of us. So off we went, and really enjoyed one another's company. After all, it will be "3" of us in a package deal very soon!
And I will update with another preggers shot shortly! We had a routine OB appt on Friday morning and they think that we are about a week ahead of schedule...and that our little munchkin is already estimated to be at least 17" long and about 4 1/2 lbs...and with her putting on about 1/2 lb a week till delivery, we could have a big healthy baby girl on our hands (taking after her momma and daddy, who were each 8.8 lbs. and 8.6 lbs respectively - and yes, I was bigger than Phil at birth).
She is moving more than ever these days, with long, slow, defined movements as she stretches and moves inside my baby bump (which is resembling more of a "mountain" now). We have also discovered that Kinsley gets the hiccups, and quite often...it's something that I have been waiting to feel for a while now, and love when she gets them...it's too cute! And except for heartburn which plagues me morning and night, some minor backpain, and a little swelling in my feet, I am just relishing the last trimester of this pregnancy...but I still can't wait to meet my little one. I am just trying to be patient above all things and let her keep cooking until she's done! Coming up this week: a wonderful baby shower #2 up on Sunday thrown by some incredible family friends!

  1. Great attitude with letting her "cook" as long as possible. Though the anticipation will get the best of you, I promise, once she comes, she is NOT going anywhere! And all that cooking sure makes them good!
