A lot going on!

Today Kinsley is 3 months old! I cannot believe how time has flown and how big she has gotten! She smiles all the time, is sleeping 7+ hours/night, loves her bottle, loves her bath, loves to swing, loves her paci, loves being outside, and loves "moving," whether in her stroller on neighborhood walks and in the car. She is the most snuggly, sweet baby who wants nothing more than to be held, kissed, and fed! And at just a few ounces away from the 10 lb mark, she is finally starting to sport some sweet little pinch-able cheeks, as seen below!

This past week was also my first week back at work...on a flexible schedule for a short time, however, which is making the transition back to full-time in a few weeks a little easier! Knowing that Kinsley was in the hands of both of our moms while I am away at work made me feel so comfortable as I was getting back into somewhat of the swing-of-things.

Monday morning was so weird...Kinsley has been sleeping through the night for about 2 weeks now (yay!) and woke up that morning around 5am for a feeding...so as long as I was up, I went ahead and got to work early, which was nice since I had some cleaning up around the desk to do...and some cleaning out of my email Inbox as well. As a told several people that day, it was like time stood still...you might recall that I left work on Friday March 5th expecting to come back to work that Monday, never knowing that I would wake-up that following Saturday morning to our placental abruption scare and would go to the hospital...never went back into the office. Everything at my desk was as I left it months ago...it was crazy.

Working from home on Wednesday...with a little help from my special assistant!

Kinsley also had 2 important doctors appts this week...Tuesday was the GI Specialist, where the doctor officially diagnosed her with Reflux, and he was very interested in her newly-discovered heart condition. Then she had her 2-month vaccinations today at her 3-month check-up...she was a whopping 9 lbs 14 oz (almost 10 lbs!), and was such a trooper with the shots...in fact, my mom came with me since Philip had a meeting for work in Macon, and we both ended up crying more than Kinsley did. The cry she did let out, however, was one I had never heard before...one of shear shock and pain when the need touched her skin...all three times...and oh, it made my heart sink and brought tears to my eyes. But after the brief but intense scream, she stopped crying and took down a bottle in record time. My mom and I were still crying at this point, mind you. I promised Kinsley, no more needles for a while...or x-rays, or EKG's, or echo's, or ultrasounds for that matter...well, I hope not for a while, that is. We have literally been at the doctor 1-2 x's a week since she was brought home from the hospital...and it gets exhausting after a while. Anyway, Kinsley had fallen into a deep sleep by the time we got her into her car seat and started rolling to the check-out counter. Whew. Those pesky shots are out of the way, finally. As of right now, she's definitely a little fussier and sleepier than normal, but no fever yet. You can just tell she's just not feeling like herself.

Asleep on the GI SPecialist examination table...no clothes on, except for a diaper, socks, her blanket, and of course a bib...we must go through 6-7 bibs a day!

Sound asleep after her round of shots before we even got out of the ped's office!

So REWIND a little bit......back on Memorial Day and then again last weekend for a wedding, we got up to Lake Oconee for both weekends with Philip's family. It was such a nice getaway and we got some great shots of Kinsley's first trip to the lake!

Daddy surfing behind the boat like a pro...look, no ropes!

Kinsley's first dip in the pool! Look at that sweet little smile!

Sleepy girl.

Me, Mary, and Kelly at Rebecca's bridesmaid luncheon.

All dressed up for the party!

Kinsley's first visit to Gaby's while mommy & daddy enjoyed a "quick" dinner & drinks by the lake at The Ritz...I say "quick" because when she woke up from her nap, she was ready to leave.

Hunter decided that he would really enjoy living a life by the lake!

Our family shot!

Great photo of part of the Stanford family (we were missing some very important members)!

Smiling girl!
