What a great weekend! Friday was a not-so-glamorous evening, but very relaxing...we were still tired from long weeks at work and the late concert Thursday night (see blog below), so we threw on sweatpants, took Hunter on a walk, and then heading to Waffle House...yep, I said it, Waffle House. Philip had a 10K the next morning and we were both craving a waffle, so off we went! Like I said, not so glamorous, but it was good...and back to the house to relax and watch a movie and the Winter Olympics!
We started off Saturday with Philip's first 10K since his knee surgery...he felt great afterwards! What a blessing that we got that surgery in a the end of the year! He's finally starting to feel like himself again! I, on the otherhand, could not fathom even running a mile right now...can't wait to start getting back in shape and jogging / walking with my baby girl and Hunter! Saturday afternoon we met Julia (friend from work) and Ben (finally, our hubby's have met!) at lunch Saturday and then went over to enroll our baby girls (theirs, Abney, already 4 months, and our not-yet-born Kinsley) at the Goddard School's grand opening in Sandy Springs. How exciting to know that when our sweet Kinsley starts school there in July, Abney will have already paved the way for her and can introduce her to all of the other baby friends. They will be classmates! This is after all "private school," not daycare...we don't like that word around here...plus, it costs more than Marist, soooo... anyway, here's a photo of Kinsley's new "school" starting in July!
Saturday night we had dinner with friends and celebrated Philip's 30th birthday with everyone at Noche down in the Highlands...it was a great time! Always love getting together with that group! Can't wait until summer and hanging out poolside and lakeside with them!

And then Sunday was our much-anticipated baby shower #2! It was attended by close family friends, aunts, and both of my grandmothers! The shower was thrown by my gracious hostesses Kelly, Glynn, Celia, Mary Jo, Sherrill, Mary Root (and her beautiful home), and Ann....thank you to them all!!! Of course, every single detail was thought of...from the adorable decorations in bright pink and little lambs, to the cocktails and mock-tails for guests in personalized wine glasses, to the delicious food and sweet "Kinsley Elizabeth" party favors. It was all precious! What a wonderful day, and when I say that this baby girl got a lot of stuff, I mean she got A LOT of stuff! Almost an overwhelming amount! Once I get everything unpacked and organized, I will take pictures of some of the adorable things that we received all laid out here at home. Until then, here are some photos of the amazing day! We are so blessed that so many people care about us and are as excited about meeting our baby girl as we are!
